I was just thinking that the bloody sacrifices of those who fought and died before us for the cause of American liberty were beyond the realm of human effort. Now, this nation, our nation, which was divinely created by the Hand of God, is in deep and dangerous moral peril. What once was the shining light of liberty has been dimmed, almost to extinction now, by those who disrespect and disregard their elected duty to protect it, guard, and cherish it. It has been tarnished by the smoke and mirrors of the epic hypocrisy and dishonor of this administration. Their principal goals, it is clear, are (1) the disgraceful use of the Federal Government to control the lives of all Americans, and (2) to aimlessly herd us all down into the abyss of mind-numbing mediocrity and dependence.

How could we have let this happen? And we did let this happen – not intentionally or by personal design, though. Surely, we did not get up each morning; look in the mirror, and ask ourselves what it was that we could do that day to help wipe away that which is the majesty of our freedom. No, of course, not. We were busy, distracted, well-intentioned, but not particularly well-informed Americans, who were dealing with the everyday, sometimes all-consuming pressures, of just being an American and getting through the day. Realistically, though, we took our freedom, and the hard-fought-for privileges that go with it, for granted. What we did not realize, however, was that there were highly-organized and prepared, fiercely political, sinister factions, waiting in the wings to pounce, with all their might, on this very scenario. It was too late, though. We had not bothered to really listen. What we eventually did “hear,” however, was that this administration’s and this President’s contempt for America and obsessive quest for power and control over their fellow-American citizens, were and are undeniable.

So, where has all of this gotten us? Nowhere, to be sure. We have been manipulated and lied to by an administration, and a President, whose lack of moral conscience have served to help them hustle their self-serving fantasies of one world, one state, one class, one economy, one rule. It’s easy not to care if you have no conscience. Who cares about our heroic military veterans and the deplorable health care they are receiving? It’s easy not to care about them when you have no conscience. Who cares about our three brave young American heroes and our US Ambassador, who were all murdered in Benghazi, Libya on 9/11/2012? It’s easy not to care about them when you have no conscience. Who cares about the terrified, exhausted parents of a cancer-stricken child, who suddenly lost their healthcare coverage, and probably their cancer-specialist physician, because of Obamacare? It’s so easy to cause all of this damage when you have no conscience. You don’t look back. Next!

Clearly, the time has come for us to come together and reclaim the nobility that was once part of who we are as a free and benevolent people. It is imperative now that we all wake up, wise up, stay informed, and then vote in the upcoming crucially-important mid-term elections on Tuesday, November 4th.

We can do it! We’re Americans! So, let’s roll!

 

The signs of injustice were clear from the beginning – starting with the first Kill the Bill Obamacare rallies that took place in 2009 on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.  They were the motivating factors behind America’s reaction to what was to be, at the end, the most cataclysmic, sinister miscarriage of America’s treasured principles of justice, freedom and democracy that took place right under our noses. Through arrogant disregard of the Constitution and, thus, the American people, President Obama, under the cloak of darkness on Christmas Eve night in 2009, shoved Obamacare down the throats of the American people, in spite of their overwhelming protests and objections.  On March 23, 2010, Obamacare was signed into law.  Now, Americans must start to deal with the toxic results of this law.

 

It was easy for them, the Obama Administration, to slide between the cracks of the apathy of the Haves and the ripe-for-intrusion of the Have-Nots.  It was so easy for them to win re-election.  They were brilliant students of psychology and experts in the fields of Information Technology and social networking.  They were united master organizers of despair.  They understood, far in advance of the 2012 Election, just how to take advantage of those in economic and personal peril.  At the same time, they stifled the growth of America’s small businesses (the very economic heart of our country) by imposing upon them strict and unreasonable rules and regulations.

 

It was our fault.  Along with a complicit Congress, with the exception of a few, we let this happen to our country.  We failed to stand up and speak out against a finely-tuned regime that is based on malice and comprised of those who seek power, control and the conversion of America into a one-size-fits-all European economy and welfare state.  The intentions of the Obama Administration were and are brilliantly cloaked in the smoke and mirrors of dishonor. They were presented to those in need as magnanimous gestures of compassion and caring.  Clearly, though, it was their votes, and only their votes, that this Administration worked so diligently to secure.  All along, they relentlessly worked to convolute and manipulate the mindset of the vulnerable and prod them into the comfortable and cozy pseudo shelter of dependence.  Why couldn’t we see that?  

 

The Obama Administration have given themselves carte blanche to write their own disturbed version of our country’s history and its future.  Through major disrespect of the Congress, the Constitution, and the American rule of law, they managed to turn the Office of the President into a circus of wannabe elitists, whose contempt for America, and adoration of themselves, they make little attempt to conceal.  How?  No one was looking.  That’s how.  It was simply our fault.

 

Still, President Obama continues to distance himself from decency.  There was the tragedy in Benghazi (Libya) when our U.S. Ambassador there (Christopher Stevens) was murdered, along with two brave former Navy Seals (Glen Doherty and Ty Woods) and an equally-brave young Information Management Officer (Sean Smith). They all died while protecting the American Consulate in Benghazi from the meticulously-planned, two-stage terror attack that took place on September 11, 2012.  The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, the leader of the Free World, Commander in Chief of the finest military in the world, and one of the most powerful men on Earth, made no attempt whatsoever to send them help.  Four Americans were in peril, and he did nothing.  The many questions regarding the death of our heroes remain intentionally unanswered to this day.  At the top of the list of those questions might be: Where was President Obama while the American team in Benghazi were fighting for their lives?   

 

The next day, President Obama casually told Americans that the Benghazi terror attack was the result of a spontaneous demonstration against an anti-Islamic video.  A few hours later, he left to attend a campaign event in Las Vegas, NV, as if nothing important had happened.  Are Americans supposed to believe then that this President is just an innocent bystander to conflict; one who is  being forced to nobly react to someone else’s transgressions?  Or, should this passive non-leader figurehead, who struts in front of our faces every day, constantly stirring up controversy, and wasting our time by saying absolutely nothing of substance or value, be held legally and morally accountable for the deaths of our four American heroes?  

 

Also, it seems that the disaster that was the 2012 Presidential Election has further emboldened those, who oppose securing America’s borders, to recklessly encourage the illegal and unmonitored entry of immigrants into this country. Why?  Because a massive flood of illegal immigrants into this country would result; thereby, serving to eventually ensure an equally-massive American liberal voting base in the future and their coveted one-party political system in America that would surely follow.  Could it be that is why President Obama objects to securing America’s borders as a first step toward immigration reform?  Should he prevail, and our borders remain unsecured, he will have simply given away America – just given it away!  It would only be a matter of time.

 

As long as we continue to act as an uncharacteristically complacent society, who only have the capacity to worry about a new sports stadium or who has the coolest new car, we will gradually allow the disintegration of the freedom for which the Founders made untold bloody sacrifices.  By re-electing Barack Obama, this is, for starters, what our complacency has cost us:

 

• How about our $17trillion-and-rising-national debt?  

• Do we want to continue to be spied upon by the National Security Agency (NSA)?  

• How about the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) targeting of conservatives and the hideous role they will play in our health care?

 

Is this the future we want for our children and for generations of innocent Americans to come?

 

If not, then we must present a strong, united front and non-violently push back against the unending jabs at our freedom by the Left.  We must not fall for the liberals’ (aka the mainstream media’s) tricks to fragment us and pit us against each other.  This is not about a childish power struggle within the Republican Party; a political party that has the capability, intellect, experience and Congressional presence to reverse President Obama’s assault on American democracy.  However, in order to do so, they need to stop pirouetting around their obligations to the American people and start doing the job they were elected to do!  This is now about unity of purpose.  It is about forceful, non-violent push-back.  It is about all Americans voting in the 2014 mid-term elections on November 4, 2014.  In voting booths all across the nation, a patriotic unity of purpose could bring about stunning results.

 

Finally, protecting our cherished American free way of life is up to us now.  We can do it!  We’re Americans!  We need to get off of our personal merry-go-rounds and get serious and remember that it is still an extraordinary honor and privilege to be an American and live in the greatest nation on Earth.  Should we fail to stand up and speak out against the tyranny that will surely come our way, I fear that, in the end, we will deserve everything we get.  It will be our fault, and we will never be able to return to the free America, for which hundreds of thousands of lives were lost in its defense.  We will never be able to replenish the treasure trove of liberty that has nourished American freedom for the last 237 years.  It will all have been taken from us, and we will have no one to blame but ourselves.

A “Grassroots” American

Finally, there is someone out there who has the courage and strength of character to stand up, and speak up loudly against the damage that President Barack Obama has done and is continuing to do to America.  Finally, there is someone out there who is willing to sacrifice his/her career to stand up to a President, who is being given carte blanche to impose his progressive, leftist, socialist, divisive agenda on a country that was once, and can be again, the greatest nation on Earth.

 

That man is Senator Rand Paul (R-KY).  In order to delay the Senate confirmation of Mr. John Brennan as Director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Senator Paul conducted an exhausting 13-hour long filibuster on the Senate Floor on March 6, 2013.  His concern was Mr. Brennan’s stand when it came to the frightening and controversial question of the President’s power to use drones to kill U.S. citizens on U.S. soil, especially without due process (the legal right to be treated fairly) or trial.   Is it constitutional?  Steven Bucci, of the Heritage Foundation, summarized the two main concerns of this issue when he wrote, “Once again, we have a marginally suited nominee with questionable policy choices and actions in his past. Brennan is being savaged for being the originator of and prime mover behind the overuse of drones and for ignoring the ideological basis (radical Islam) of the terrorists the U.S. is now facing.” (The Heritage Foundation Morning Bell: “Senators Bring Stirring Filibuster Against Obama CIA Nominee,” by Steven Bucci, March 7, 2013)  Finally, the next day, after the conclusion of his filibuster, Senator Paul received a letter from Attorney General Eric Holder which stated that, according to the Constitution, the President does NOT have the power to use drone strikes on Americans within the United States.  This was a remarkable achievement.

 

Clearly, the Obama Administration is out of control.  Until Senator Paul’s filibuster, there has been no push-back to President Obama’s scheme to vilify all who oppose him, especially the Republican Party.  It is true that the Democrats have the majority of the power (and votes) in Washington.  Unfortunately, it is what it is.  However, it is also true that their performance (political and/or legislative) has shown that they have no intention of working for the good of this country.  They disrespect and ignore the Founders, as well, and deeply resent their magnificent 18^th Century success and achievements.  If it were not for the bloody efforts of the Founders, there would be no America for President Obama to twist and contort to his own progressive ideological image.  How will this bode for the future generations of Americans?  Will they ever be taught their rightful heritage of freedom and democracy?  I wonder.

 

Bringing us all down to the same level of mediocrity, and wiping out the American entrepreneurial spirit by taxing us into servitude, seem to be the common denominators which fuel the Obama Administration’s quest for a society that is based on the insignificance of the individual American citizen.  Until Senator Paul challenged what looked to be the Obama Administration’s self-imposed, impenetrable power structure, Americans were left without a spokesman for justice.  It is a small beginning, but it is a great beginning, too!  Let us hope that there will be much more to come.

I was just thinking that we Americans are going to be part of the most crucial, important presidential election in American history. We must decide on the kind of America that will eventually result from the nearly four tumultuous years of controversy and the conflict of ideals that have been the reign of the Obama Administration. It’s up to us now. This is not a game. It is very real. We Americans carry an enormous responsibility on our shoulders. On November 6, 2012, we must cast a vote in an election that could ultimately determine the destiny of American freedom and the relevance of the hallowed Constitution of the United States of America.

It seems there are two Americas from which to choose. Will we vote for an America, perhaps even now a fading shadow of its patriotic self, which was founded on freedom and equality for all its citizens through untold bloodshed and sacrifice? Will we vote for an America that abhors corruption and promotes opportunity? Will we vote for an America where our children and grandchildren will be able to experience the adventure of personal achievement? Or, will they grow up in a dependent society where their futures will have been tampered with and manipulated by a robotic administration that is based on the “sameness” of socialism? Will we vote for an America that promotes simple decency, and respect for the American rule of law, as the core elements of its foundation?

Or, will we vote for the other America? Will we vote for the America that has become so fragmented and polarized by a President, who only pays lip service to the problems of the staggering $16 trillion-and-climbing U.S. debt, an inexcusable 8.2% unemployment rate, and the need for a strong U.S. military defense? By intentionally bankrupting America, President Obama forges on towards turning it into a one-size-fits-all European economy and welfare state. Dependence on the government is the name of his game. He gets there by taxing Americans into servitude and bleeding their financial holdings dry. Then he strangles America’s small businesses through imposing stifling regulations and restrictions upon them (mostly through his use of Executive Orders.) The eradication of the middle class, the engines that drive the American economy, will then follow. For seniors, the road ahead is perilous. The atrocity, that is Obamacare, is the epitome of the dependence of Americans on the government for which President Obama yearns. We will all now be vulnerable to the whims of clueless unelected government bureaucrats with the experience and compassion of a gnat. Enough of disrespect! Enough of this imperial president!

The upcoming 2012 Presidential Election will be about choosing between non-violently defending and maintaining the most magnificent nation on Earth. Or, surrendering all that we hold dear, and the liberty that is ours, to an administration that arrogantly promotes the insignificance of the individual American citizen and, consequently, strives to herd us all right down into the pit of mediocrity forever.

The stakes are very high now. There is no room for indifference.

It is very clear. We have so very much to lose. We must choose wisely. Then vote!

Perhaps, Samuel Adams, an American Revolutionary patriot and signer of the Declaration of Independence, best described that which is the duty and privilege of every American to vote when he said,

“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual – or at least that he ought not so to do; but he is executing the most solemn trust in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”
